The WarWhen did I set my sights so high?The War
When did I decide I wanted the sky?
Logic and imagination are duking it out.
my brain and my heart, having a shout
and they've never been defeated
no matter how I've been treated.
They'll still rush at each other,
tackel and mush and smother.
But the war between my mind
and heart will never be refind.
Pray that they will make amends

I have little trust in grace
to know to set me free
The old dream is fading
it's now one where I'm falling
And I'm contemplating why my life is still stalling
The starting shot has rang
and I'm trying to go.
I'm stuck in the chain gang,
how long I dont know.
So when will life sprout?
I think I missed the flag.
